“I needed a high-fidelity wireframe to test out my startup idea & Vimi did an amazing job. Quick, to the point, & clear proposals, fast timelines & an amazing result. For my next project I will definitely work with them again.”

Matthies Haentjens — Founder, Homey.

Introduction

Homey was a conceptual mock-up commissioned by Dutch web entrepreneur Matthies Haentjens, to study the opportunity for simplifying access to home loan financing in Thailand.

Target Audiences

The immediate audience for the Homey mock-up was a curated group of potential joint-venture partners — principally banks, mortgage brokers, and financial technology operators — whom Matthies approached to evaluate commercial interest in building and launching the product. The end-user audience the mock-up represented was retail mortgage applicants in Thailand.

The Project — Scope of Work

VIMI was engaged to design and produce a browsable high-fidelity mock-up of the Homey application. The scope was focused on demonstrating the “happy case” user journey through the app’s primary function — the end-to-end flow a retail customer would take to understand their borrowing options and initiate an application — in sufficient fidelity that potential joint-venture partners could evaluate the concept on its merits.

The Outcome

With the mock-up in hand Matthies was able to approach potential partners, and learned the Homey concept didn’t generate the level of interest required for a commercial partnership to be established. While this isn’t the ideal outcome, it’s certainly a far better outcome than having invested in developing the app, only to discover then that critical partners were uninterested in the venture.
