Introduction
Buff operates one of the world's largest gaming rewards platforms across PC and mobile. The platform allows gamers to earn points through normal play that can be redeemed for gift cards, gaming hardware, Steam keys, and other physical rewards. Buff is authorised by Overwolf, operates in compliance with publisher terms of service, and generates revenue through premium subscriptions, advertising, sponsored events, and in-app purchases. The company is listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
Target Audiences
Buff's target audience is competitive and casual gamers. The platform serves both desktop users through an Overwolf-integrated client and mobile users through dedicated iOS and Android applications.
Unique Value Proposition
Buff is a play-to-earn rewards platform that calculates user earnings from in-game performance statistics, within the permitted rules of the games it supports. For gamers, this converts time already spent playing into tangible real-world value at no cost.
The Project — Scope of Work
Buff engaged VIMI to design the user interface for its mobile application, which extends the desktop rewards experience to gameplay and reward redemption on handheld devices, and to support design efforts for their desktop client as well. VIMI's scope covered interface design for core flows including onboarding, game selection, reward tracking, the marketplace, and account management. The work was delivered in close collaboration with Buff's in-house product and engineering teams, and aligned to the platform's established visual identity.
The Outcome
VIMI's designs supported the continued growth of Buff's user base and the expansion of its mobile product. VIMI remains engaged by Buff for ongoing design support as the platform evolves.
