Business Intelligence in Your Inbox – Full Contact Review
Any artisan worth his or her salt has a deep reverence for the tools of their trade, and just because our tools are digital doesn’t mean we’re any different. Well, maybe a little different – Ask an artisan to use their tools and you’re likely to find you’re no longer that welcome in their studio…
We however are actually very happy to share cool new tool we adopt, like our recent post featuring SEO SERP Mojo.
Recently we started using Full Contact around the office to get better insights regarding the people we’re exchanging emails with, and it’s so awesome we thought it’s worth sharing!
Introducing Full Contact
Originally founded around the premise that it’s high time someone brought order into the chaos that is address book contact information, Full Contact, founded in 2011, has since grown to a team of 48 people.
I’ve used their contact management dashboard once or twice, but to be honest the reason I felt they’re worthy of a blog post is their awesome Chrome Extension for Gmail / Google apps.
Business Intelligence from your Inbox
Like Rapportive before it, Full Contact is a cool business intelligence tool that provides a wealth of invaluable information about the contacts you’re corresponding with.
Using your correspondent’s email address as a point of reference Full Contact searches for their associated social media profiles, providing not only additional touch points, but also a wealth of insights into who exactly is sharing a conversation with you, what their company is like, and more.
You can even go in and edit your contact by adding tags and notes to the data Full Contact retrieves automatically.
Using Full Contact Day to Day
The data Full Contact provides is useful in so many ways it’s almost too difficult to choose a use case, but for the sake of the example here’s one:
Upon getting an email from a new prospect, you use Full Contact to identify their Linkedin and Facebook profiles, with hope of finding a mutual contact who can help with establishing mutual trust.
I can’t count the number of times I’ve done this (Am i bad person for feeling that being a super sleuth ROCKS?)
In a world where every little bit of information helps towards reaching our goals, and one where we’re all increasingly connected, Full Contact’s data might just be that little advantage that gives you an edge over the competition…
